Connected apps
What happens if you connect your wallet to a scam Telegram bot or website?
It depends on how the connection was made:
- If you entered your 24 secret words, your wallet is compromised. Anyone with access to your secret phrase can withdraw your funds at any time, and there’s no way to recover them. The best course of action is to act immediately—create a new wallet and transfer all your assets to it. Make sure to store the new wallet’s secret phrase in a secure and safe place.
- If you connected using TON Connect, your wallet remains secure. This method does not give third parties control over your wallet, as they cannot access it. Any actions involving your funds will always require your explicit approval. However, be cautious if you’re asked to sign a transaction after connecting. Always double-check the transaction details before confirming, especially the amount being sent. If you’re not careful, you could lose all your assets, and there’s no way to recover them.
How to disconnect Tonkeeper from dApps?
To disconnect your wallet from apps linked via TON Connect, go to the 'Browser' tab, then 'Connected.' Press and hold the app icon you want to disconnect for a few seconds until the 'Remove' button appears.
Why isn’t the connected app showing up in the Browser?
Sometimes, apps connected via TON Connect may not appear under 'Browser' > 'Connected', and that’s normal. This depends on how the app handles the connection. If the app itself shows your wallet as connected, everything is functioning properly, and there’s no need to worry.
