TON DNS

What is TON DNS?

TON DNS is a service that allows you to assign short, human-readable names to crypto wallets or websites.

For example, you can create a domain like "user.ton" and link it to your wallet—this way, others can send you Toncoin using that short name instead of a long wallet address.

How to link a .ton domain to a wallet?

TON DNS domain names appear as NFTs in the 'Collectibles' section in Tonkeeper after purchase.

To link the domain to your wallet address:

  1. Select the domain NFT.
  2. Tap 'Link domain'.

This action requires a small fee in Toncoin (usually no more than 0.1 TON).

How to renew a .ton domain?

TON DNS domains must be renewed every year — otherwise, someone else can purchase them.

To renew a domain via Tonkeeper:

  1. Open the 'Collectibles' section.
  2. Select the domain NFT.
  3. Tap 'Manage' — you’ll be redirected to dns.tonkeeper.com.
  4. Tap 'Edit', then 'Save' to renew the domain.

You’ll need at least 0.1 TON in your wallet to complete the renewal.
