How to secure Tonkeeper?
We recommend following a set of rules to ensure the security of your wallet and the safety of your balance:
- Never store your seed phrase in cloud storage, messaging apps, screenshots, or notes on your device, as these can be vulnerable to hacking.
📌 The safest method is to write down your seed phrase on a piece of paper and keep it in a secure place.
- Never disclose your seed phrase to anyone. It’s called a secret for a reason.
- To protect your device from malware, avoid connecting to public Wi-Fi networks, refrain from clicking on suspicious links, and avoid downloading files from unverified sources.
📌 Remember, your private key is stored locally on your device, and its security is entirely up to you.
- Set up a PIN code to prevent the compromise of your private key when accessing your wallet. To do this, go to Settings > Security > Lock Screen.
- Before connecting your wallet to any websites or Telegram bots, make sure they are trustworthy. Don’t overlook the rule of DYOR (Do Your Own Research).
- Always carefully check the transaction details before confirming it. Pay special attention to the amount being debited. Stay vigilant and remember: if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
